Magnify God instead of problems

“Joshua and Caleb said “If the LORD is pleased with us, He will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.

Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them them up. Their protection is gone is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them (Numbers 14:8-9).”

Caleb and Joshua among the twelve spies saw something different and their report was contrary to what the other ten saw. They saw with their eyes of faith and believed in the God who brought them out of Egypt. All these twelve people had seen God’s mighty power demonstration in Egypt, but they still doubted His ability to defeat these giant race.

What have you said about the problem you’re facing now?Have you magnified those challenges more than God? Have you thought like the other ten spies? If yes, then I am here to tell you that God is far greater and mightier than billions of giants and demons combined. He, who is in you is greater than he who is in this world (1 John 4:4).

Don’t be shaken by the circumstances you are going through. Only believe in Jehovah Sabaoth- the Lord of Hosts; and He will prove to you that He is the only God who calls things into existence that do not exist. God is not done with you yet because He who has began a good work in you will bring it to a perfect end. When you have the spirit of Joshua and Caleb, you will indeed live above your problems and fulfill the purpose God has planned out for you.

Thirsting for God

Often times, we are inspired by the Holy Spirit within us to diligently seek God for His counsel or direction for our lives. Other times too, our spirits are stirred up after reading or hearing the word of God. In Matthew 5:6, Jesus told us that ‘Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Also, in Isaiah 55:1, the word of God says “Ho!, Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat.

From these above scriptures along with many others like John 6:35, we are made to understand that God is inviting us to His table so that we will be fully satisfied. We can believe that there are abundance on the table God sets before us. We are the ones who benefit when we long for God and His righteousness, because every thing comes from the Lord (2 Thessalonians 1:11). Thirsting for God often may drive us to a place of isolation. While many people are able to adapt to this situation, others, however are bothered or saddened by this. But its our persistence in the face of rejection and isolation that brings us closer to Him. God sometimes may hide His face from so that we may pursue Him with all our hearts and innermost being.

In several chapters in the book of Psalm, Psalm 13:1, 44:24 and 88:14, David says to God, “why do you hide Your face from me”? Whenever we begin to feel like David the king felt, this is the time we have to seek and pursue Him more. Because we understand that God does this so that we will hunger and thirst for Him. God desires to fellowship with us because He created us for His glory (Isaiah 43:7). Remember, God has declared that if we hunger and thirst for His righteousness, He will fill us. God is able to satisfy us with the living water the flows from the throne of Grace.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

God doesn’t exist to or need to please you in anyway but we are created to please God (Heb. 11:6) and for His glory. Therefore, how long will you continue to sit in the utter darkness and blame God? When are you going to say enough is enough devil and rise up and seek God?

You will ask how do I do that or where do I start from? I will tell you; Go on your knees and call upon Him who dwells in Heaven and will shall answer you! He promised that if we called to Him, He will answer (Jeremiah 33:3).

Jesus says come unto me all you labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest (Matt. 11:28-29). You don’t have to carry that burden any longer. On the cross, He paid it all for you. Just call upon Him today.
